PLENG has 3 siblings, 16, 14 and 9, all lives with a single father who has worked to make his children fulfilled though it never be perfect for a very busy working dad like him. He said, it has been 10 years that he is a father of 3 since his wife left him. He was a motorbike taxi in Mai Khao and made enough to eat every month though could not afford anything fancy for his children. Covid-19 took away his job and transformed this family from poor to very poor. 2 early teens work to support family so only Plang could go to school. He is now trying to survive by growing vegetables, making charcoal or anything that make money so they won’t be hungry. Plang sat on the swing with the loneliness that we could feel in her eyes. She smiles then get back to her own world. Let me guess, probably she misses her mom, her family, who knows? No one can tell better than her but she never tells us
